Mouse Cursor Size Issue on Windows 11 (v24H2) - HP Spectre x360

Hello everyone, I am experiencing a strange issue with my Windows 11 (version 24H2) laptop. Every time I boot up my HP Spectre x360 16-inch 2-in-1 laptop, the mouse cursor appears significantly larger than normal.

I found that resetting the graphics card temporarily resolves the issue, but the problem reoccurs with each reboot. changing the screen resolution also fixed it, any solution? My laptop is equipped with Intel Iris Xe Graphics and has 8GB of RAM.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Did you download the new update released yesterday KB5048667?

    Did it solve this problem?

    Hi,

Yes I updated with KB5048667 yesterday and the issue is still not resolved😡

Gone back to unticking the fast start up box to temporarily solve it.

    Get a grip Microsoft!

This one worked for me! I mean it may be only temporary but it is stable and just for waiting 2-3 seconds longer its good till this overall bug gets solved by Microsoft

    Hello All,

I found a temporary solution, if you disable fast boot from the settings, the laptop will boot a few seconds late, but the problem does not occur anymore.

You can try this solution, until Microsoft release a new update for Graphic Card driver, means a permanent solution.

I think the main issue is compatibility of Graphics card and Windows 24H2.

Because i wasn't have this bug in 23H2.

I think I found a solution. The Hp representative's help did not work so I looked in the web. If you go Settings - System - Display - Scale; the default is 200%, change it around and then back to 200%, it solves the issue. I tried it yesterday and since then the cursor hasn't changed its size.

Sakina, I have done that and it's solved the problem up to a point.

However, when I shut down and log back in the large pointer returns. 😖

Well, after staying on a call for almost 2 hours, hoping it would get fixed, I just opened my laptop and the cursor is very big again. So it didn't help
