Why is my network messed up after update to windows 11 24H2

Hello, after updating win 11 23H2 to 24H2 several "computers" are disappeared under the "network"pane in windows explorer.

The day before updating, all computers were attached to my network and visible in windows file explorer.

After update to 24H2 they were gone!

I did see that after updating the option for media streaming were turned off.

I put The media streaming option on again, but that was not the solution.

    In your next message, you mentioned servers. Are you in a domain and have a domain controller running ?
    Are the servers Windows servers and using which OS version ?
    Which version of Windows 11 do you use now 22H2, 23H2 or 24H2.

    I'm using Windows 11 24H2 now and a Synology NAS, not in domain (home network). For me the NETBIOS trick did work and I can see all shares (Windows pc's and NAS).

    If your server is not a Windows server and you're using SMB, see if your "server"as the option for signed SMB.

    This a small laboratory with scientific equipment and all have specialized software capable of running on Win 10 Pro. Upgrading them to Win 11 Pro is not only not trivial, would cost well over $100,000. Small business screw in favor for huge corporations... AGAIN?

    Did not work, my Win 11 Pro laptop is the only one allowed to share files with 11 Pro file server, 12 other PCs, all Win 10 Pro, were working fine, now screwed. Went through each item.

    You are on the right track as the network browse list worked clear back to Windows 95.

    MS, with update 24 H2 has managed to screw up one of the oldest features in Windows

    I have talked to at least 4 MS techs, including one level 2 tech and NONE of them have a clue.
