Yesterday I installed some updates (24H2) on a Windows 11 Pro OS.

After that the connection to my work VPN stopped connecting correctly.

Did anyone have the same issue?

How can I solve?

Tnx

    This worked for me.

After upgrading to Windows 11 24H2, my computer encountered this issue when using a third-party WireGuard client. After extensive searching, I finally found a solution. It's a mystery why Microsoft still hasn't addressed this issue.

Solution: Enable Windows feature Virtual Machine Platform (VMP) on Windows features.

Tutorial: Enable Virtualization on Windows From: https://github.com/kubenetworks/kubevpn/issues/401 and https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-11-24h2-wireguard-connectivity-issues/7154bcea-fcce-4824-a226-bb5134a90c95 Image

I had the same issue to the point where I ended up completely re-installing my OS ( full wipe). I then rebuilt it creating restore points along the way everytime I installed something new or a new update. It was working flawless again (including NordVPN) for about two weeks. It was not until yesterday the 16th when these two updates were installed and started causing the issues again with not being able to connect to the internet no matter what I did. Oh BTW I had also added a rule for the VPN to get through the firewall and that did not fix the issue. Once I uninstalled update (KB5050009) and (KB5049622) I restarted and everything started to work flawlesly again. See attached picture for more info.

Same problem experienced. Solved it today by installing the latest MS Visual C++ Redist. Available at: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist

Installing the latest update for C++ Redist. resolved our issues with 24H2 & Cisco AnyConnect/Secure Client having issues.

    Thanks for the heads up!

    Thanks, Nick.

Just a heads-up, this forum is a space where users help each other out, and it’s not directly affiliated with Microsoft. However, I will relay it back to the team. Did you try a network reset?

Open Settings: Right-click on the Start button and select Settings, or press Windows + I.

Go to Network & Internet: In the Settings window, click on Network & Internet.

Navigate to Advanced Network Settings: Scroll down and click on Advanced network settings.

Select Network Reset: Under the More settings section, click on Network Reset.

Confirm the Action: Click on the Reset now button and then Yes to confirm.
