Hello
I never had any problems with my PC .
Windows 11, version 24H2 update is ready to install, I approve the restart, it starts working, stops at 68% for 5 minutes, then restarts and turns off PC. When I booth back, it simply wants to download it and install it again.
Troubleshooter shows Error but offers no solution.
I have downloaded the ISO and followed all instructions, but 26% in, the installer just stops all goes back to windows and says Windows 11 instalation failed.
Any ideas?

Does anyone that Microsoft read those myriad messages? I guess not. They all go in the digital waste basket...
Soon be October. Those stuck on 23h2 will remain stuck on it... I suspect. Eventually they will have unsupported software. Hopefully for those on 24h2 it will be a smooth upgrade this time round.

similar problem Windows 11 Pro with 500 GB disc space available 1GB fiber internet 24H2 takes forever to download, the gets less then 50% and install FAILS Tried to install 24H2 over and over and keeps FAILING
So yes DOS skills are handy when Microsoft support people have you in the DOS box shell... but only us old timers know it's DOS.
We know it's DOS, but if we wanted to stick to command lines, we would be on Linux (that's why we elders still have multi-boot).
And I confirm it's despise and not some other mild term, for if there was a minimum of consideration, they would address the issue at least for base configurations. And it's precisely the case for one of my machines: a constructor laptop with an embedded Win10 version graded to 11 without any application on it that consistently fails to update.
Plus I'm not paid to search for a solution, while they are.
The silence of Microsoft support on this subject just proves how the company despises its customers.
