Sound does not work with any output device. It started recently and seems to have started after installing the latest 24H2 Windows & Preview.

Hi, I had the issue with no sound devices detected after installing the latest 24H2 update. In device manger noticed that Intel Smart Sount Technology (Intel SST) OED in System Devices had failed to start. Did a quick search on the internet and found a suggestion to uninstall the driver for Intel Smart Sount Technology (Intel SST) OED and then reboot to force Windows to use a default driver. I tried this and it worked, and I now have sound back.
I have found a temporary solution to the problem. I downloaded and installed the lightweight Foobar2000 player. Recorded the sound of silence in Adobe Audition. I loaded this sound into the player and put it on loop playback. In the properties of the player shortcut, I added the path to the track and moved the shortcut to the auto-upload. Now, when you start the PC, the silence sound starts playing immediately. Due to the fact that the external sound card is always active, it does not turn off. But my problem was precisely that when idle, the sound card turned off and turned on only when it received sound. All other methods did not help me: reinstalling the drivers, disabling the power saving mode and prohibiting the disconnection of USB ports. None of this helped. The only thing that helped was the constant background sound of silence.
Oh, by the way, if anyone needs it: The sound of silence is exactly 1 minute so that the file has a small size. In the player settings, you need to set the startup in the tray so that it does not appear on the desktop. Well, the sound card: I have it M-Audio M-Track 2014. Windows 11 24h2. This fixes the issue. You can also just Update the driver, not uninstall it.
My last posting above is the fix for now. Driver 10.0.26100.1150 is included in Windows 11.
Problem solved for now.
