Using Phone Link on computer it creates a group in chat - and does not send message to recipient

Phone is up to date

Computers are both up to date with MS update

BUT

Using Phone Link when I send a message to one of the people I message often rather than send message it creates a group. (see below)

On my phone it then shows as a group chat - which I can't edit

Works fine on my phone - but not on Phone Link - on both computers I own. Screenshot of how it ends up below.

I also have quite a few messages where both the name of recipient and my phone number comes up - just a bit of a pain.

I'd really appreciate any help on this

Thanks heaps

Gary

Same here. Except that when i have an existing group chat going and I reply to it, it creates a whole new group chat not only on my system, but everyone else's also. It's a new problem, and it's very frustrating. Please fix this ASAP, Microsoft.

I'm on 1.25011.56.0, where Phone Link says it's the latest release, and that hasn't fixed the issue.

Hi Esben. I also have 1.25011.56.0 and it is working fine for me. My Win11 is version 24H2 build 26100.3194. Not sure what yours is doing. Are you replying to the clean version of a given recipient? I still see the 2-person group chats there, but when I send a message directly to the real recipient (non-grouped) it doesn't end up back in the group one as seen previously.

This is the most updated one I have also. Others seem to have newer versions but it is not available for me.

    No problem, Johan.

However, I think that my version - 1.25021.59.0 - is later than the one available on the link that you provided - 1.25012.92.0.

I suppose it doesn't matter though if both versions are working :-)

    Cheers,

    Steve

Ok. Sorry. I thought yours wasnt working and that you couldn't download the latest that had the bug fixed. My link was for a later version than you had and not a downgrade, but if it is working there is no need.
