Jeeze, that's a new wrinkle. I'm afraid I have no suggestions.
Good luck!

Hi All,
I have a Brother DCP-7065DN multi-function machine, connected to my Windows 11 desktop computer. I was having some problems with a label printer and pursuant to that I disinstalled the Brother software and re-installed it. Since the re-install, the Brother printer driver installed but the scanner driver installation failed. I've tried multiple times.
Brother has noted this as a problem with Windows 11 Version 24H2. (See attached link.)
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
Thanks.
Nancy

I my case the drivers for my Brother 8810DW were on my computer. After the update I could not scan. When I used Brother's diagnostic software would show all the printer drivers were good but failure to find scanner driver. I have tried many of the fixes listed here and so far no luck.
Hi Terry,
You are correct: If the Brother software was installed *before* the Windows update, it will continue to work *after* the Windows update.
The problem is with the *installation*, not with the driver.
All the people on this thread experienced the problem either 1) with a new computer running the current Windows version, on which they tried to install the printer software; or 2) with a computer that previously had the Brother software running correctly, but for some reason they had to uninstall and reinstall the printer software AFTER Windows updated to 24H2 or subsequent versions.
So, whatever you do, do NOT uninstall the Brother software on your wife's computer as that may leave you SOL.
I posted a fix that worked for me above, but the thread is long so I'll re-post it. It didn't seem to work for others, but several people have posted more involved procedures above. If my method doesn't work for you, I recommend going through the thread and trying each method suggested until (hopefully) one works for you.
Here is my method:
Go to Device Manager
Double-click on Imaging Devices
Right-click on Brother
Choose Uninstall & wait for the uninstall to complete
Restart the computer.
Good luck!

My MFC-L2760DW scanning doesn't fully work Win 24H2 (OS build 2600.3476) PCs Its canning function only works with Brother iPrint&Scan as well as MS Scanner but not PaperPort SE (12 or 14) caused by failure of Twain driver. It turns out that the latest Brother WSD device driver (v.1.0.14.1, date 6/21/2024) is not compatible to Win11. However, same driver works with Win10 and makes scanning fully function. So either Brother or Microsoft needs to solve this compatible issue.
I have the same problem with my Brother MFC-J885DW. However my wife's computer works fine on the same shared network printer. Both of our notebooks run Windows 11 Ver 24H2 Build 26100.3476. Why does the Brother Scan Utility work on her Dell computer when it does not work on my LG Gram. Could it be that her computer already had the Brother's driver installed prior to the Windows update to 24H2? My LG Gram is new and I have never gotten the printer to install properly. If this is the case then there is an incomparability between WinVer 24H2 and the Brother driver installation software. The previous install on my wife's computer (pre 24H2 update) worked but the more recent attempts on my computer (post 24H2 update) don't. Can this finding lead to a solution?
