Hello,
I had a recent windows update on 15th January 2025. I have an update failure showing for - Dolby - SoftwareComponent - 3.30702.720.0 - Install Error - 0x8007013
Anyone else experienced this or any advise as to how to resolve?
I have tried running the updates again but get the same result.

That is a problem many people report with the drivers that Windows Updates tries to install, if that update is continually failing, then the best option is to use to official Microsoft Show/Hide Tool to hide that driver update to stop Windows continually trying to install that driver.

This is Microsoft in a nutshell - make an *official app to hide software updates* that should not be installed on your computer. As someone else pointed out, this is a W10 driver and I have W11.

It was a joke. The "support" on these forums continues to give advice for the wrong version of Windows. Truely pathetic how far Microsoft has fallen. I mean, they broke SLEEP a decade ago and have only encouraged OEMs to fall in line with their half-baked nonsense. They actually think you think your laptop is like your phone. Morons.
Then there's the UI. Say you want to set an environment variable.... you go through like 10 menus all with different OS interfaces until you get to the variable settings which are current as of Windows 98. Then, you want to make the taskbar smaller so your 14" laptop has more usable space on the screen and they've removed that feature (and all workarounds to bring it back) because they think you want less options. Morons.
I mean, we're on the 6th friggin page of a forum post about fixing a sound driver... in 2025.
