My mic keeps on picking up desktop audio

hi guys, built a new pc last november, everything was fine and all and i decided to pick up a mic splitter like a month ago so i can use my earphones' mic to talk to my friends while i game, so like i noticed an issue when using the mic where it picks up my desktop audio for some reason, tried to fix it by updating realtek drivers, didnt work, this same issue happened to my acer nitro 5 a year back and that was fixed with a driver update, idk what the problem is and idk how to fix it tbh, anyone know how to fix it? tried to look around the web and its just the same stuff i tried, updating, reinstalling drivers, i dont even know at this point i genuinely feel like hating realtek drivers at this point because of how this issue even happens randomly

    Hi ,

    Let's test with the generic driver to see why there is nothing preventing it, but with the generic drive you will connect headphones to the back.

    Disable Ai Cancelation and Access the Device Manager under Sound, video and game controllers > Realtek Audio > Select and hold (or right-click) the listing for your sound card or audio device, and select Update driver > Browse my computer for drivers > Browse my computer for driver software.

    Select the audio device whose driver you want to update, select Next and follow the instructions to install it.

    i tried a dual jack prior to this and im having the same issue, idk what the problem is because doesnt have any issue on my older windows 10 system

    Hi ,

    I can only find one thing: the splitter isn't working properly or the headphone isn't working properly since it's a single wire. Did you come across another headphone, if possible, can you use a dual jack?

    Hi ,

    Activate the microphone test and keep an eye on the level. Activate YouTube sound. If possible, take a screenshot with sound on Spotify and with the Discord test active and post it here.

    Do not say anything during the test.
