I cannot create a minecraft java profile name

i swear i cant get this to work AT ALL. i tried both the computer and my phone to make a java account but it never works.

I spoke with a Minecraft Support worker who suggested I go to the link through a browser on my phone and create my username there. Once I did that, I went back to my PC and it had saved it under my Minecraft account, both online and on the Minecraft Launcher. From there on, it downloaded and it completely installed.

I believe it is a desktop issue at the moment, but hope this helps anyone else dealing with the same issue!

I am also having the same problem and nothing is helping. I got java edition for free since I already had bedrock. Is that part of the problem?

I looked at the launcher logs found at C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming.minecraft/launcher_log.txt and I found this:

Idk why this is here, I've had this problem for around a week now.

It is Definitely an Account issue between Microsoft Servers and Minecraft Servers. IMO Mojang and Microsoft NEED to create some kind of uniformity and universality here because this whole you can use microsoft login or mojang is just a freaking train wreck.

I had the same issue as everyone else but what I had to do is sign in with my OTHER microsoft account. I had 2 and the Mojang-Microsoft servers just dont talk together on account management, it's a mess. MAKE SURE you are using the correct microsoft and Mojang account, try and sign in with others if you have them, the best advice I can give without knowing anyone's specific situation
