I cannot create a minecraft java profile name

I purchased the Xbox gaming service today.

The game asked me to set up an profile, but when I click the "that's me" button, there is no respone.

Please help. Thanks.

    I found a solution! For me I tried everything like logging in and out while reading different articles. The solution that worked for me was to go to the Minecraft website, and where you go to "My games" You should see Minecraft Java, Bedrock, and Dungeons. For me there was a pop-up that says, "Change Skin" or "Profile name" under Minecraft Java. Now if you make a profile name and restart the launcher, you should be able to get in.

    Same problem here today in all browsers.

    Disabled my always on VPN ( Express VPN) and tried again. Voila done.

    Hope this works.

    Hello,

    I was having this same issue even though I had already picked a username and in the Minecraft website it said I had already picked my profile name. The reason why I even noticed something was up was, because I was trying to put on a skin and it said I needed to set a user profile. When I tried to it said "failed to create profile". For some reason the website wasn't connected to my launcher and I fixed it by changing my skin in the website. Somehow it worked and they synced up.
