I cannot create a minecraft java profile name

I purchased the Xbox gaming service today.

The game asked me to set up an profile, but when I click the "that's me" button, there is no respone.

Please help. Thanks.

    I gave my friend with a bought java account my microsoft account with java edition with the error and when my friend enter a username it worked

    Thank you, this worked for me.

    I had a other user logged in on the machine with a VPN connected.

    Went into their profile turned the VPN off and it worked instantly
