[SOLVED] Working touch-screen as secondary monitors on Windows 11

I have recently a second touch-screen monitor to use with my PC. It works perfectly except for the fact that touch does not work if it is set up as the second display. For Windows 10 I have to use "Table PC Settings" to assign touch input to secondary monitor. On Windows 11 I cannot find any tools like this. So the touch input is always triggering primary monitor.

Hello Mr Adrian,

In the control panel, change the icons to large icons

Then you will be able to see the "Tablet PC" icon, click it.

From there you seem to be familiar with how to do set it up, but will go over the next couple steps just in case you dont.

Click "Setup"

Next, there will be a dialog box to asking if you want the app to make changes, click "yes"

Finally, all your screens should turn white with a this text in the middle of the primary screen "Tap this screen with a single finger to identify it as the touch screen. If this is not the table PC screen, Press Enter to move to the next screen".

Press Enter until you get to the monitor you want to use as a touch screen. NOTE: I am not sure if you can use more than one touch screen with Windows 11... yet.

    My primary monitor is a HD GSYNC monitor for gaming. Games start on primary monitor and cannot be moved. I cannot play games on the lame touchscreen monitor because it isn't for high end graphics. This precludes my switching my touchscreen monitor to main display.

    I want to use my touchscreen as secondary monitor and it cannot be set up. There is NO work around. And it really sucks.

    Windows should let people know they do not support touch screens on desktop computers that have high end graphics. Windows does not support touch screen effectively.

    This is not a solution. I play games and they open on the primary monitor. I want my touch screen to be the secondary monitor. It is useless for me as primary. Touchscreens are not Graphic Monitors for high performance cards like nVidia RTX 3070 TI. I want my games on the monitor that is good for them and the touch screen to work on it's own screen

    This should not be marked as Solved. It is a clunky workaround at best. I use Microsoft Whiteboard on a large touch screen on the wall behind me when brain storming, planning projects and drafting workflows.
    This work great until my desktop goes to sleep, and then when I touch the whiteboard monitor, my main desktop screen responds.
    Then I need to open up display settings, set the wall monitor as my primary display, then go through the "select the touchscreen" steps, and then switch my main screen back to my primary monitor. This works on a first attempt about half the time, sometimes I need to do it multiple times before it sticks.
    Next time the computer goes to sleep or reboots, I need to run through this all over again.

    Microsoft, please help me use Microsoft Whiteboard!
    How can I persistently mark a secondary screen as being a touch screen?

    Thanks for your feedback. It's true that Tablet mode is not available on desktop computers on Windows 11. Your demands and ideas are very worthy of our attention and adoption. I will report your concern to our Windows team who will consider improving Windows in the future.
