For Office 2007 File Validation IssueGo to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Find OFV.CAB and extract it.

You'll have OFV.msi

Install it and hit Retry on Windows Update.

Hello all, this has been well documented,

Leave the computer on and waitfor 12 to 24 hours and the "Microsoft Office File Validation Add-in" update will install correctly  No need to do anything else.

I had the problem for a couple of days, i searched the web for a answer.

I even done a fresh install of windows 10 and started from start.

Its to do with office 2007 licence,

I uninstalled office and re installed, that was time wasted.

My office 2007 i had for so long you could barely see the key.

The only thing i kept doing is check for updates all the time. Leave the computer on.

Microsoft give me the update in the end. You will have a warning from Microsoft that your key has been used, keep trying,

That why you get a digital licence now linked to your account.

Hope that helps just keep trying it worked for me in the end.

Just leave the computer on, and in the morning, the Windows Update error will clear and allow the update to complete!! It really will.
