Your Phone calls unusable due to too much echo

I have setup Your Phone on my PC and Phone Companion on my phone (Nokia 7.1) - both devices have latest software and are fully patched.

While I can make and receive phone calls via the Your Phone app on the PC (and they sound fine at my end) the other parties all complain of excessive echo so that I need to conduct the call on the phone.

My mic and speaker settings are the same as I use for Skype, Zoom, Hangouts, etc. - how do I trouble shoot this? 

Is it possibly caused by the mic / speakers on the phone remaining active during the call?

I deavticivated AGC in the Mic settings and it worked for me

    You are missing the possibility that your desktop headset+mic setup does not work like a bluetooth headset (what this app is programmed to be). From what I'm understanding, the bleed from speaker to microphone is quite minimal in those devices, and is not similar to a desktop setup. 

    I am experiencing this issue with very closed back headphones... my mic is pretty sensitive as well which isn't helping. But what you really want to do before denying my theory is do a test where your headset and the mic are in different rooms, and see if it's not as bad.

    Skype, Zoom meeting and other such app are different from Your Phone app. Your Phone app turns your laptop/ PC into something like BT receiver (like BT headset) .  I don't remember other apps doing this.  I wont deny that MS team lacks to fix this.

    Please tell me if there is ay simple app which can turn my laptop into BT headset. I would like to try that. If the problem persists then its not just MS failure. Also at this point I am not sure if its OS or HW's lacuna. Or just MS team being lazy. I personally feel the team might not be lazy as this feature can be one of the selling feature of the OS. 

    So if any one here has an application that can turn laptop into BT headset please share.

    Yeah, headset has always worked. I just don't want to wear my headset all day.
