Mouso core worker process

My computer (Windows 10, 64-bit Build 19041) is constantly waking up from sleep and then going back to sleep for a short time only to repeat the cycle.  I ran sleep diagnostics on the Windows PowerShell as administrator i.e. powercfg /systemsleepdiagnostics.  The report from yesterday (5/31/2020) indicates that my computer awoke from sleep 50-55 times during the course of the day until at about 8:00 p.m., I decided that it was better to fully shut down the computer rather than have these continued cycles.  The common thread in all these awakenings from sleep is MoUSO Core Worker Process (MoUsoCoreWorker.exe).

- Power Requests

- \Device\HarddiskVolume5\Windows\System32\MoUsoCoreWorker.exe | START TIME | DURATION | TYPE | TOKEN | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | 2020-05-31T18:18:53 | 0:00:01 | Execution | 0xffff8389192ab2e0 |

This executable is a Microsoft programming element.

Why is this happening and what can I do to eliminate this totally annoying phenomena?

That's where you went wrong mate.  If you want your computer to sleep allow it turn the device off.  If you don't the USB and other devices will prevent the computer from going to sleep cause the devices are in use by the computer cause you said "nope i don't want the computer to shut you guys off".

    Hi EricFrendo-Cumbo,

    thanks for the explanation.

I have gone back into the device manager and for every single device that has a power tab in its properties, I have now Checked both the box for both "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

    Still no sleep :-[

Is there anything else I can try ???

If you run 'powercfg /devicequery wake_programmable' from an administrator command prompt, you will probably see one or more network adapters named something like 'Intel(R) I211 Gigabit Network Connection' or 'Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz'. Try using 'powercfg /devicedisablewake <devicename>' to disable wake for each one. In my experience, wake-on-LAN is enabled by default for all network adapters, and any network with other devices on it will constantly wake your device from sleep unless you're in a carefully configured workplace where everything is hooked up to switches.

Try your ethernet as well check your power options and make sure things are setup properly from there as well.  Remember anytime you download your computer will remain on.  Some software may keep the PC on as well.  If anything you might want to reset your power scheme who knows that might help.  powercfg –restoredefaultschemes

I read the article about the update, but it does not have MoUsoCoreWorker.exe, the update is for UsoCoreWorker.exe.  There are articles on the MoUsoCoreWorker.exe.
