Mouso core worker process

I have been trying to deal with this issue (my computer does not go to sleep) for some time now, with no success.

Phase 1

In the beginning I ran CMD as administrator and discovered that MoUSO was preventing sleep.

I followed the advice i this thread and now it does not seem to be interfering:

C:\WINDOWS\system32>powercfg /requests

DISPLAY:

None.

SYSTEM:

None.

AWAYMODE:

None.

EXECUTION:

None.

PERFBOOST:

None.

ACTIVELOCKSCREEN:

None.

(above result is produced after the set sleep time has expired)

However, the computer still does not sleep.

(is it possible that MoUSO is effecting things but not showing up in powercfg /requests results ????)

Phase 2

I have set the power plan settings for sleep and the advanced settings are configured for sleep and have Multi Media when sharing set to allow sleep.  I have even reset the setting.

However, the computer still does not sleep. 

Phase 3

I have accessed the device manager and for every single device (including keyboard and mouse) I have that has a power tab in its properties, I have unchecked both the boxes for both "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" box "Allow this device to wake the computer".

Is there anything else I can try ???

This should possibly help bafly's issue with Bluetooth as well since the option for that is also under Human Interface Device's.  Its not so much the OS's issue as per device they have different settings and power schemes are such a pain to setup.  I recently had the issue with my LAN port and had to allow the computer to turn it off.  So make sure that all your devices have that enabled.

This worked for me! I have a Microsoft sculpt ergonomic keyboard and I needed to turn off "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" for the "Microsoft Hardware USB Mouse" device under "Human Interface Devices".

After the Aug 11 updates (2nd Tuesday monthly), the MoUsoCoreWorker.exe process is no longer showing up under powercfg /requests.  And, if I put my computer into Sleep mode, it stays that way.  But, it still will not GO to sleep after xx minutes idle.  I just tried the KB4568831 fix, but I get a message: This update is not applicable to your computer.

Update - Aug 18, 2020

I discovered that when I unplug all USB A/V devices, the computer goes to sleep as expected. With those devices plugged in, powercfg /requests always shows their drivers as active.  This is new behaviour which began with Feature Update 2004.

I tried (as someone in this thread suggested) powercfg /override, but that did not work for me.  I have to physically unplug the USB devices - really annoying.

oh boy! you were right! my Bluetooth dongle (asus bt 400) caused issue when pc wont go to sleep after xx time

UPD:

run some tests:

 - plugged back (switched off) - goes to sleep

 - (on - not paired to anything) - goes to sleep

 - (on and paired headphones) - went to sleep

 - (on and paired to myPhone) - test is pending (can't connect)

Go device manager, USB Serial Bus Controllers and right click on each device go to properties.  Then to go to power management tab and click the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".  That'll help you from having to disconnect each time.  Try it with the other devices to if the given option is available.
