I am using a Brother DCP-195C printer. The printer is working - I can monitor ink levels etc from the Brother Control centre on my PC but I can't print.

2020-06-15T06:48:58+00:00 It's a known issue caused by the June Update. For 1903/1909 it is KB4560960. For 2004, it is KB4557957.
Uninstall it at "START, Settings, Update & Security, View Update History, Uninstall Updates". Then block it with WUShowHide...

You've got to try to catch it coming in again. Be prepared with WUShowHide immediately after doing the uninstall.
Here is the Dashboard article for 2004...

2020-06-14T18:13:59+00:00 My sister in law has the exact same problem as described here (print jobs disappear from the queue but nothing happens), and it too has only started happening very recently. Scanning works OK. The same model of printer is involved. I have talked her through reinstalling the drivers from the Brother website via the link above (they were last updated in 2013, well before she bought her laptop) and it hasn't made a difference.
I strongly suspect that one of the three updates around 10/11 June have caused the problem because nothing else had changed on the laptop other than that. She was able to print OK after the updates in May were installed. Is there any easy way these updates can be rolled back to test? How do we pass feedback to the update team?
Thanks

2020-06-13T13:25:45+00:00 Hi and thanks for reaching out. My name is Anthony.
I'm Independent Advisor and I'm happy to assist you.
I understand how difficult it is, when the device or app won't work in the way it should.
It is possible that your computer's operating system may have become unstable, and need to be restarted.
I would suggest to try restarting the computer.
To restart the computer, close all applications running on your computer, save all data, and then turn the printer off.
After restarting the computer, turn on the printer and see if it works.
Hope it will help.
Please let me know if you need any further assistance.
Thank you and Keep Safe.

2020-06-13T13:43:00+00:00 Hello,
Thank you for the reply. However, I have tried this solution and it has not worked. I have also reinstalled the printer driver software.
See the 2 screenshots. I notice that the Brother printer I want to use is not listed as a printer on either of the 2 lists below (it is 'Unspecified'). I have the troubleshooter also without success. ![](https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/2f91a358-67e6-4d21-90cb-13235180a540?platform=QnA
