I am able to boot from a System Repair Disk that I created from Control Panel, System and Security, Backup and Restore (Windows 7) and an ISO file that I created with Media Creation Tool and burned to CD/DVD.

I am running Win 10 Pro 64bit version 1909. I used Control Panel, System and Security, Backup and Restore (Windows 7) to create a system repair disc. That worked fine, no error messages, until I went to use it. I tried to boot my pc from the CD drive where the repair disc was inserted but got an error message, non system disc or words to that effect. I had done this previously with Win7 without any problem. Any thoughts as to why the same process is not working in Win10?

2020-07-16T18:13:44+00:00 Crisis averted, emergency over. I upgraded Win10 from version 1909 to 2004. More advisors at Microsoft Support jumped in to offer their assistance. That only led to confusion and mistakes on my part. I was chasing every lead down every rabbit hole and before I knew it, the situation only got worse. I ended up breaking the Start Menu and screwed up the BIOS settings. I went back to an old system image to recover my computer and gradually worked my way forward to what now appears to be a normal configuration. I’ve always said that you can never have enough backup but if progression isn’t followed in an orderly manner, that can end up being troublesome. Do I need to respond to each advisor individually or will they all see my latest reply regardless of whom I respond to?

My Windows 10 machine booted normally with a Windows 7 Repair CD.. After it finished booting and I select the Keyboard\Language, it then stated that it was not compatible with the installed version...
You should at least get that far..
It may be that your CD\DVD drive is failing.. I don't know that it is possible to put the "Repair CD" on a bootable Flash Drive, but it is possible to put the ISO on a bootable flash drive should that be needed..

Yes you should be able to boot from the Windows 10 on the DVD... Providing it was created properly..
How did you put the ISO on the DVD ?
I just tried making a Repair CD on my Windows 10 build 19041 (2004) machine, and it booted properly..
I think your Windows 7 Repair CD should boot normally even though you are running Windows 10..
All of it's features may not work properly, but it should at least finish booting.
I will check my machine nd let you know what happens..
