So what do people with computers with Conexant drivers do? Windows Update says update drivers but there are none acceptable, it also says Microsoft is working on a fix ? So what do we do? If there are compatible drivers for devices using Conexant Audio where are they, how do we get them and install or replace them (I have tried everything to no avail). When does MS expect a fix ? Are persons with Conexant audio drivers computers at end of life ? Does anybody care ?

you need to be logged into the account, i dont think it also needs an insider account, which i have but shouldnt be mandatory just to upvote a feedback!

On the feedback hub, it seems only "Suggestions" can be upvoted. Any listed "Problems" cant be upvoted, and unfortunately, you listed the issue under problems.

It seems you need to convert your standard Microsoft user account to an "Insider Preview account" to upvote, post, comment on the feedback hub.

Was able to upgrade to V 2004 by installing the Microsoft HD Audio drivers and disabling and then uninstalling the Conexant ones. I then restarted and the Microsoft HD Audio was the only one showing under Sound and Video Controllers in Device Manager. Downloaded the Update Assistant and it went flawlessly to V 2004. Checked Device Manager and the Microsoft driver is still the only one showing under Sound and Video. My question is should I now reinstall the Conexant Drivers or just leave well enough alone ?
If you are just using your headphones or sound from the laptop speakers itself, then Microsoft drivers are ok. I have also disabled the Conexant drivers and blocked them via registry edits and Windows update show/hide tool as well.
I am not sure what special benefits the Conexant drivers provided except causing us to be ineligible for Windows update 😁
I can't agree more.
Conexant is a hideous piece of driver that doesn't provide any sort of audio enhancements that an audio driver should.
It's a piece of garbage and I have finally got ridden of this by disabling it. Now I'm using Standard Microsoft sound drivers. It's great compared to that hideous Conexant driver and provides far superior audio enhancements.
And finally, I got the version 2004 Update offered from Microsoft.
