Windows Update failure for January 2024

I've been communicating with them. They've updated my Edge on the 5th, 8th. Today the 10th. I received an Update: "Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime." SEE attached installed programs list. I have my Windows Update Settings on 'pause' until after the 13th, but I do have the box "update as soon as they are available" CHECKED. (as I wondered how they kept updating without my knowing). Today, except for the "High Memory Usage Warnings" (of which I told them today) things are working much better. (29) Edge processes while Open, and files are being correctly deleted or saved according to my settings. And, when closed, there were still 12 Edge processes with (0) zero movement (probably not running). Seemed OK to me.

Hey Rossco, hope you are well. Those two updates still not updating. All is working fine otherwise. We'll see if Microsoft has a fix Feb 13 as you mentioned. Time will tell.

After I installed the Windows updates for windows 11 on my surface Laptop then it crashed, could not access the internet and all frozen, Had to go to do a reset after no help from Geek squad

Hours spent to find out what to do and time wasted.

After I got it up and running, a microsoft update occured when I restarted the laptop and low and behold after the wonderful wicrosoft update ( occured even thought I had tunred off updates for two weeks ) then it crashed again !

Sending this message before tunring off again, How can microsoft do this ? Will they reimburse me for geek squad and time spent ?

You ruined my PC!!! Lost all my data! I didnt want this update... Microsoft forced me to accept it! It made my hard disk unbootable!

What gives you the right to modify and add partitions on my drive without informing me??

I reinstalled windows. As soon it started working again, once again the update forced itself on my computer with no way to stop it! This time all my data was erased as well! No data recovery software can retrieve the data says Easeus. I have spent days on this now..... tried few different things, tried to park updates, tried to restore, reinstall**!!!** Yet you continue to crash my OS

Someone should sue you!!! There must be a class action suit somewhere in this story!

If it doesnt work, and you cannot correct it, why do you force users to accept the updates??? How are you going to send me a patch on my unbootable computer, eh??
