KB4566782 Update Loop

My laptop is running Windows 10 2004 OS build 19041.388 and windows update decides to automatically install cumulative update KB4566782 (build 19041.450). The installation will fail (0x800f081f) during updating Windows and Windows update automatically retry to install it until my laptop's battery dies.

How get out of this update loop?

update: We need a true solution, and please do not mark reinstalling windows 10 as an answer, dear moderators.

    The update is one and is called KB4566782. I have been on the site with regards to the NET Framework & the instructions are not instructions, for example the following,

    "This error code can occur when an alternative installation source is specified and one of the following conditions is true:

    • The location that is specified by the path does not contain the files that are required to install the feature.
    • The user who tries to install the feature does not have at least READ access to the location and to the files.
    • The set of installation files is corrupted, incomplete, or invalid for the version of Windows that you are running.

    To fix this problem, make sure that the full path of the source is correct (x:\sources\sxs) and that you have at least Read access to the location. To do this, try to access the source directly from the affected computer. Verify that the installation source contains a valid and complete set of files. If the problem persists, try to use a different installation source." 

    For the ordinary person, this is senseless. Could it be that a new Windows Update will fix this since I see I am not the only one having problems with installing this, at least on this computer.

    I'm sorry to hear that none have worked. Does it also include the hide and show troubleshooter? The troubleshooter could prevent that troublesome update to automatically install...

    None of the above solutions worked. I think this should be Microsoft's fault because I tried to install that update to another clean windows machine and get the same error code too.

    Apparently Jericho must have fell flat for again, one is left scratching ones head (or someone else's). 

    It seems the question 'can one update from the catalogue' left the expert stumped. Anyway, that doesn't work for obviously, the problem isn't getting the Update but installing it.

    If someone else has got too much time on their hands, that one might throw out a suggestion.
