In 2014, Microsoft was "laying off" a large number of its employees. Among these employees is the tester division whose job is to test Microsoft's software before it is launched. (For reference: Microsoft is 'almost' done with its largest-ever layoff sweep ). Instead, Microsoft introduced the Windows Insider program that roughly turns the user into a tester. The system is: The user is given access to the latest build, then the user can provide input to Microsoft for improvements to the OS build. Of course these "freelancers" are not as matched as possible and lack the necessary skills as a professional beta tester. This is what makes Windows 10 build releases often have a lot of bugs. Ends

Hi Amara Thine, Its causing problems for alot of people. I dint know what to say or do. I cant help people as i am no tech expect. All.i can say is that i recovered my (very old) pc to previius version if windows (twice now) but turned updates off and chose the very last date it could iffer me on updates screen whichnis late October. I got my emails wirking through help of my internet provider who told me windows live mail will not work anymore no matter what. I have gone to mail alp which was easy to set up for both myself and my partner and we now have email coming through. My next step is to purchase a new tower and hioefully all this trouble will go away. Wishing you the best, stay safe!

So this update has proved...irksome. After Windows deciding to play with me by booting to a black screen with a cursor only to decide two minutes later that it was joking and loading everything, I have discovered another small issue. If I try and download anything on Google Chrome, the browser crashes. I haven't added any new extensions to Chrome or changed anything since two days ago when I could download whatever I wanted. The only thing that has changed is that I updated Windows. still isn't going to make me use Edge

Hello, I tried to do the September updates, but after reboot I got a generic BSOD. Reboot, attempt to automatically uninstall the update, fail, reboot, retry, uninstall done and return to normal. For now I have disabled updates, but this is only a temporary solution. ... So the question : how do I know when the 2004 (that is the culprit) update is "updated" so it wont break my system ?
