I'm having a similar issue. My Start Button (and everything that works off it, which includes the action centre) stops working after this is installed. I've tested and it's definitely KB4571756 because uninstalling it fixes the problem. It also caused ASUS Armory Crate to fall over (error in cdp.dll - says the file is incompatible with windows); I hoped uninstalling that would solve the issue, but it didn't. Windows 10 Pro (64 bit) Version 2004 OS build 19041.450 Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.31.0 For the moment I've paused updates for 7 days. P.S. I've checked and the Service Stack Update installed with no problems.

I didn't move them anywhere. I checked with other forum users and they all say they are innocent too.T ell you what. Open the search tab in your taskbar and select Search Photos by clicking "More" and then "Photos" let us know how that works out for you.

It seems to me that MS shouldn't bundle so many security fixes in one release, because of precisely this issue. All I can hope is that they recognise the issue that is causing a number of us to have similar problems and fix it.

WinnDoz, Service Stack updates are automatically applied before the cumulative updates. There is nothing you have to do to install them. It is unfortunate that these updates are causing so many issues. It seems now we are spending more time trying to protect our systems from updates than using our systems. Backing up to an external hard drive is the best thing you can do. Having a cloud backup is good as well. Having at least two copies of your files is wise. A good backup program that you run at least prior to the updates being released (normally on the 2nd Tuesday of the month) is now almost essential. Macrium Reflect is a highly recommended backup program which will allow you to backup your entire system. They have a "free" version. Good luck and hang in there. JohnD

Service Stack updates are automatically applied before the cumulative updates. There is nothing you have to do to install them.

It is unfortunate that these updates are causing so many issues. It seems now we are spending more time trying to protect our systems from updates than using our systems.
