I lost all my passwords on all my browsers

I lost all my passwords on all my browsers with the last Windows update. Every time I try to get support, I am directed to the spot to "save" passwords. They are still there allowing them to be saved. Each time I sign on to a site, I am asked if I want to save. I always say yes, but it still never saves. I had to change all my passwords and write them down because I didn't remember them because they were all saved before that update.  This is annoying, to say the least. Please, don't advise me on how to go into my browser settings and choose to save passwords. I know that. Everyone does.; It doesn't work!

I have been working on getting this fixed since the last update/ I got blocked out of my bank for attempting to use what I thought was my password.

I wish to opt-out of Windows updates. They only serve to make PC users, annoyed!

Chrome lost my passwords and were it not that I had saved them to a file they would have all been lost. similar with Edge's passwords and Auto-fill Data, saved data but that you can only save and not retreive. Everyone is having this problem. I should no thave to have Giggle installed on WIndows to make it function correcly. You had to intentionally REMOVE the restore from a file in Edge from the original Chrome, so put it back where it belongs.  Don't release something that doesn't work. Much of it seems to be with onedrive not logging in lautomattically like it is supposed to. I believe that is due to the 2 part authorization wich I wil try next, by removeing to simple 1 part login. This is amature city stuff. Your programmers have dropped the ball and you are trying to cover it up with excuses. Also WIndows 10, outside of Edge is loosing some passwords and auto fill data too.

I've never heard of Chrome or Firefox losing passwords as long as you have set each to Save passwords and are signed in when you save the passwords, then sign out and sign back in to test if it saves them.

To save passwords in Chrome see here:

To save passwords in Firefox see here:

    I hope this helps.

Yes same here. I enter all the passwords, they seem to work when I close then reopen the browser, then they are gone. I reinstalled my entire desktop computer and still the same mess.

I have the same issue.  After the last update no passwords are being saved in any program, browser etc.  I open Outlook and have to reenter passwords for all my email addresses.  I open a browser in chrome, edge etc. and try and login with saved password but i get a password not correct error.  I type in the correct password, making sure remember me etc. is checked.  It works great until I logout of windows or restart windows and then the process of re-entering passwords all over again starts all over.  Microsoft, please fix this asap.  so annoying.

Oh I tried that. I deleted the last update, which was the most recently installed. Then the PC had to restart and now I can't get into that PC. It asks for a password to a name I don't use. I can't find a way to change it, and I don't give up. Now I have to take it to the Geek Squad to unlock my account. Microsoft sure is a trip! I don't advise that. Glad it worked for you though.
