Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Installation Problems

I have managed to get as far as the "Welcomem Set Your Experience" screen ==> Content Manager" that seems to keep restarting the download for "asobo-aircraft-b787-10-0.1.35.fspackage".

The download will sometimes get to around 30% and then reset back to start again, while other times it may only get to 7% or 12%.

Why is this happening?

My internet is reasonably stable with a consistent download bandwidth of between 30MBPS to 50MBPS.

    vpn won't work. 

    I'm downloading other stuff extremely quickly but MS Flight Sim has been stuck on 8Gb of 110Gb for 8 hours so far. 

    It's cr*ppy server end. They've obviously not bothered putting a fat internet pipe at the data center again. Obviously haven't tested the game AT ALL (public Beta IS NOT testing)

    I get this exact same problem, been downloading a package for 4 hours now, restarting, restarting. 

    Microsoft support have been absolutely useless! They just keep referring you to the same useless article. 

    I've literally cancelled all my other MS Games orders and have pre-ordered a PS5 because of this particular issue. 

    It's disgusting that firstly, MS FORCE you to install patches before the game starts and don't let you past, which was my initial problem. a 14Gb patch download failing again and again. 

    Then a total uninstall and reinstall and now I can't get the full download. 

    I wanted to play the game Friday evening. It's now Monday night and it's STILL not working. 

    Total waste of £110!

    I returned my new pc to the retailer who offered to install fs2020 for me.  I think they were worried there might have been a problem with the PC.  There wasnt.    They did so inless than a day but were unable to tell me specifically how they did it.  The one thing they did do that i didnt was completly uninstall the trial version of MacAfee.  I had tried turning it off,  but not uninstalling it.  The tech did say it stopped after about 20Gb, but then loaded the remaining 60 withiut a problem.  i had already managed to get over 20 gb on.  Hope this helps someone

    i tried the "netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal" without any luck.

    Also the NetLimiter 4 solution - also without luck

    Stuck at 7,7Mb/s here in Norway.

    And by principe, i don't want to spend another 10euro to try a VPN.

    Anyone found a solution?

    Thanks, a good idea that i Havent tried yet.  I hav just returned the pc to the retailer who say they will do the download for me, so if they struggle i will pass your suggestion on.  Thanks again
