I had the problem when I used the anti virus program Bitdefender and used the program to clean up files and somehow it erased certain programs in Microsoft flight simulator 2020. Also the important digital rights program. I deleted the hole simulator and downloaded it from the windows store which from I made my original purchase from. when I opened up the program it still had the same problem of not downloading the digital ownership program from the windows store and gave me no option to download only to purchase the sim over again, but that did not seem right. So I reset my windows 10 installation to see weather that was the cause of the problem. Only to discover that did not solve it. but I did not think about that I needed to download it from the the Xbox app for windows 10, then I downloaded the Xbox app and registered with my account for that app and and downloaded the sim and the digital ownership also downloaded with no problems. Now all the updates are downloading as it should but does take sometime as it was. Hope this helps somebody that has a similar problem and saves some time in dealing with it.
Flight simulator please insert disc???
When I start up the game it tells me to press any button to start. I press a button and then it tells me to insert the disk and press continue. I don't have a disk because I purchased the premium Deluxe Edition online it's bought-and-paid-for it says the game is installed but everytime I press continue it just pops up again please insert disc.

2020-10-11T16:31:23+00:00 All very well but where and how does one find the Digital Ownership File...? Is it on one of the discs?

2020-10-08T19:25:34+00:00 I started by changing the territory and Timezone on my PC to that of Kiribati Island (but not language!). I don't know why apart from seeing that others had done this to successfully execute the changes needed to run the software.
From my Xbox account I paid for a Game Pass for PC subscription for a £1 (I'm in the UK) for the first month using the introductory special offer and then connected my PC to the router using an ethernet cable. From my Xbox account using the Game Pass I was then given the option to Play Flight Simulator 2020 as I had previously loaded the software.
Flight Simulator 2020 then attempts to install patch software which can take some time (several hours) but needs to be installed before you can use it. I would definitely recommend using the ethernet cable in preference to Wifi as the wifi kept dropping out and just couldn't handle the volume of data transferred during the patch installation.
Don't forget to cancel your Game Pass subscription before your introductory month is up unless you want to continue to pay full price ~£7/month.

2020-10-08T07:41:25+00:00 Run* the command wsreset.exe if you bought the game from the Microsoft Store. Proceed to run MSFS after executing the command. It should work as normal.
*Right click the windows start button and select the run option. Type the command in.
