When I start up the game it tells me to press any button to start. I press a button and then it tells me to insert the disk and press continue. I don't have a disk because I purchased the premium Deluxe Edition online it's bought-and-paid-for it says the game is installed but everytime I press continue it just pops up again please insert disc.

Make a folder on the C: with the name 'MFS DISK 1'

Copy the files from the DVD 1 to this folder, but not the cabinet files (data1 and data2) and data1.hdr.

    Download IsoCreator. (it's free)

IsoCreator ask for an ISO File Path. I chose C:\FS2020

    Volume Name MFS DISK 1

    Folder Path: C:\MFS DISK 1

    Start

    Open the ISO file (FS2020.ISO)

You must see something like Dvd-station (G:) MFS DISK 1 (see explorer)

    Start FS.

    Refund the game.

Buy the game on Steam or anywhere else except on a Microsoft Plattform.

    JUST NO.

    Uninstall Microsoft, ASOBO Studios.

Anger is not directed at you / or volunteers.

Hi there, I have the same issue (purchased digital Deluxe Premium), "Insert Disk Error" no matter how I try.

I may have found a workaround, which may be worth a try, as an alternative to reinstall completely Windows / All Apps.

    1. Create yourself another Microsoft account (in case you do not have an extra one)
    2. Go to Settings and Create a new User with your alternative Microsoft Account.
    3. Go to Control Panel, and assign to the new User the cathegory "Administrator"
    4. Alt-Ctrl-Del- Change user - Log-in into your new user account
    5. Open Microsoft Store, go to your account and log off.
    6. Log-in in Microsft Store with the original account which you used to purchase the game
    7. Try to install it. It should work!

I have tested this on two different computers (both facing the "Insert Disk Error"), and it seems to work.

Pros: It is much quicker and simpler than reinstalling Windows.

Cons: You need to change Windows' user everytime you want to use the Sim. While this may suck, you also have the advantage that you can use the new user just for Flight Simulator, so there will be no e-mail or messaging interruptions, no temptation to do other things while flying, etc.

Hoping this may help some other victims of Microsoft...

    Hi there,

I would like to use the approach you are suggesting but don't know how to do that.

What's the name of the file(s) on Disk 1 I have to copy and how to make that map?

Step by step instructions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Roland
