Hello, use Registry Editor, go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NlaSvc\Parameters\Internet
and modify: EnableActiveProbing
then change "Value data" from "0" to "1"
and restart your computer

I am running on Windows 10 Enterprise, Version 2004, OS Build 19041.264.
I recently changed to the Windows Insider Program and updated Windows. In the taskbar, the Wi-Fi icon shows No Internet Access, but I have a stable internet connection wirelessly (Ex: I can browse the internet, ping IP Addresses, etc.). Another problem is when I try to open Cortana it also says that I have no internet connection (By the way, I can also open Microsoft's website).
As I know Windows checks internet connectivity with this URL: http://msftconnecttest.com/connecttest.txt. But this gives Error 404, File Not Found. Maybe it is because of this?
If you know the problem or an answer, please help. Thanks!

Hi I have been following this thread, and have tried almost everything, is there anything I can send like the above that might be able to pin point the problem on my machine? Like everyone else, I can get online no issues whatso ever, but try to download an update and it says I have no access to the internet.
Thank you for the solution! After a couple of days I finally found yours and everything is back to normal now :D
P.s: I'm on Windows 10 20H2 but still face the "No Connection" issue so if anyone is in the same version as me and the issue is not fixed, this solution is surely worth a try!
EDIT: The solution actually stopped working after a couple of restarts :( Then I tried the famous "sfc /scannow", "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth" and "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" a couple of times via CMD with Administrator rights and luckily, the problem seems to be gone for now.
OH yes. :(
I had one customer who was unable to access any of their documents cos of this issue. For reasons unknown, you don't seem to be able to save a local copy of the documents anymore under 365. When you go to FILE/SAVE or FILE/SAVE AS, you get presented with a message that you are not online, so cannot do the saving at the moment etc.
Perhaps there is a way that I am not aware of, but I did do a google search on the issue, and all those suggestions just said to do the FILE/SAVE or FILE/SAVE AS thing, but that refused to work, cos of the globe icon. It would seem you HAVE to have that issue fixed, before you can even save locally. If you can even save locally. I would not be surprised if you simply CAN'T, as the whole idea of 365 is that it is cloud-based. That's all fine and dandy, till your internet is down or you have this globe icon problem, THEN you should still be able to save a local copy, but apparently not.
They got so annoyed about it, I installed LibreOffice for them, and set all the file-type associations to that. When they WERE able to get back on-line to W10's satisfaction, we copied all the files off of 365 to a local folder, and now they just use LibreOffice for everything. Just like everyone used to do before 365 came along. I don't recommend it to any of my customers, and those that have it, I recommend they get rid of it for LibreOffice for the same reason I have just described. And those clients were NOT the only ones with that 365 problem. Much simpler, easier to navigate(what's with the mad layout of things in the GUI of 365?!), doesn't CARE about if W10 thinks it has internet or not, and just WORKS.
