Windows crashing after clicking PERFORMANCE tab under Task Manager

Hello Windows Community folks

Windows 10 keeps crashing after I click Performance TAB in Task Manager. It crashes the windows going into the infamous Green screen with reason- Windows preview build failed. I have tried several debug options like cmd SFC Scan, DISM.

I have not specifically touched registry keys as I am afraid I will end up breaking something else.

What options do I have? Please suggest.

this helped for me,

I changed

NVIDIA System Control > 3D Settings > Global Settings > Preferred GPU

from "NVIDIA high performance processor"

back to "auto select"

    No, I didn't, to identify that we need to update each driver and click the performance tab, but there is risk here i.e in worst case crashing the pc multiple time may have the chances of crashing os or any other files, please correct me if i am wrong.

    I am facing similar situation! Installed windows on an SSD and viola! i can no longer open my performance tab without windows going into blue screen

    Updating using driverdoc worked for me too, I have updated all 23 outdated drivers shown by driverdoc it took me 2hr, install reboot - install reboot, now performance tab working fine not only that "when i use to click sleep or shutdown my monitor use to turnoff but the laptop doesn't shutdown" this was happening sometimes only, after updating using driverdoc, Alhumdulilla all these problems resolved.
