Why is Windows 10 Bluetooth so so so bad ?

I am sick of connecting through Bluetooth on my Windows 10

  1. Disconnects automatically randomly
  2. Bluetooth is on but can't connect to the device because it tells that your bluetooth is off.
  3. Devices appear when bluetooth is toggled off, disappear when toggled on.
  4. Nothing happens no matter what you try. The only solution is to restart your device.
  5. After restarting, works for some time. Then randomly ... (please start from point 1 again).

I am so sick of this happening everytime. How can it be so bad? Is Microsoft doing absolutely nothing to fix this.

It makes me want to throw my laptop and pull out my hair. Then I remember, how stupid of me. This has got to do with my Windows, software. How will throwing my laptop help. And then I remember again; if it's a software - it can be fixed! Fix it please!! You made such a huge operating system, you can maybe fix a bluetooth.

PS - I'll check this thread later. I need to restart my system again, need to connect to bluetooth

    The problem with that theory is that linux rarely has issues with bluetooth on the same variety of hardware. And it also works fine on every mobile phone I've tried.

    Nearly a year later and all I can report is that the issues have gotten worse.
    I would rather fix 100 faulty printers than try to connect 1 Bluetooth device to windows.

    The state of bluetooth in windows is a complete embarrassment especially compared to much smaller operating systems that handle it 1000x better.

    The fact that Microsoft representatives are silent in this thread says a lot.

    Strategic consideration would be its been poor since windows 7 closed, so one could only assume it's a windows 8, 10 &11 problem that doesn't generate revenue. Users have come to accept it generally as intermittent problem but BC each vendor has its own drivers then I dare say they have a responsibility here also. But they want you to buy a new laptop with BT 5 drivers. No one is going to waste money on BT 3 or 4.

    The corporate plan is to make money not to make users happy.

    That's not my experience and not believalble. It'**** and miss, devices connecting then not, so having to remove the paired device. Re-pairing even having to restart the laptop without any confidence it will work. Frustrating BS.

    Just out of curiosity, what would be the strategic motive for Bluetooth not to work?

    per chatgpt:

    Microsoft started selling Bluetooth earbuds under the name "Surface Earbuds" on May 12, 2020.

    Admittedly, that would be some long range strategic planning, since bluetooth on windows has always sucked.

    i wonder how well the surface earbuds work with my Dell XPS 17.
