The***“C” and “D” releases***occur the third and fourth weeks of the month, respectively. These preview releases contain only non-security updates, and are intended to provide visibility and testing of the planned non-security fixes targeted for the next month’s Update Tuesday release. These updates are then shipped as part of the following month’s “B” or Update Tuesday release.

After I installed this update on 2/27/2020, I noticed that the "System" process in task manager was hammering my SSD with disk writes. I also noticed that 120 GB of additional disk space was used. The disk usage in task manager was 100%, writing at a rate of 1.5 GB/s. I left it for a few hours thinking it would stop. 6 terabytes written later (!!!), and I uninstalled the update. The writes to disk immediately stopped, and the 120 GB that was used was freed. Beware of this update, as it significantly shortened the lifespan of my very expensive 2 TB SSD.

I just thought I would share something that happened this evening and most likely open yet another can of worms.

When I left for prison ministry this evening I neglected to shut my computer down.  When I returned home it was sleeping or hibernating, whatever it has been doing ever since I upgraded from 7 to 10.  I knew the only way to wake it was to shut it down with the power switch so I shut the computer down manually and restarted it.  I has always booted back to exactly the same place that I left it when I have done that.

This time however, I got a very limited desktop with no wallpaper and none of my usual icons.  I looked around and could not see anything that looked different except for the limited desktop until I looked at the app menu and most of my apps were gone.  More investigating revealed much of what I have done the last 2 weeks is gone and even some of the programming and documents that I migrated from Windows 7.

When I tried to do a recovery I got a message that said no recovery points had been created and I create recovery points almost everyday.

Just thought I would share another one of those things that is "sort of" unexplainable.

maged i have noticed in past updates over the years this is some time's happens when you have been log out of your account you can try re log back in to account if this dose not work then  only 1 way to go there is a new reinstall of windows 10 hope you have back up your files to dicq or cloud

I just had this update on my PC and now it will not boot. Fails the BIOS POST test with a series of beeps, completely blank screen.

I bought it only 5 days ago, have tried re-seating the RAM and GPU.

Hard to decipher the beeps as the screen is blank and I dont know what MB make it is. (8 regular slow beeps. Then a repeat of two slow low tone beeps, two fast high tone beeps - if that means anything to anyone!)

I did have some important work to do, but I guess not, thanks microsoft :(

I presume there is no way to fix this and the PC is now dead, as it wont ever boot up again now, to receive a Windows update fix ... to fix this "update fix"?

Does this mean MS has to reimburse anyone who's pc broke because of the update? I have this same problem. Won't boot, beeps a couple of times and I have a blank screen
