OS version: Windows10 Home 1809

I used Windows update, MediaCreationTool1909, ISO file and USB install for updating to 1909 but all failed. Then I switched to Insider Preview and tried to update to 2004 but still failed.

Try using bcdedit to remove the entry then check the registry to see if it is gone..  Copy and pasting GUID numbers makes it very easy to make sure the ID is correct..

bcdedit /delete {5ea6dc0b-7e7b-4d4e-af09-58846bdaabda}

    As Sumit mentions, the errors regarding the BCD store will usually have been caused by some modification of the normal Win 10 boot process.  Perhaps you ran Linux and it modified the boot or you have another configuration which might confuse the installer.

    So, for now, we need a listing from a bcdedit command done in an admin command prompt.  If you can, also a snipping tool picture of your Disk Management window with it expanded enough to see the partition descriptions.  Some translations may help.

    I see the Recovery environment is disabled, which is likely why the update is failing.

    Can you enable it from the following command?

    reagentc /enable

    Also, are you dual booting?

    Here is a similar case to you, which was eventually resolved thanks to Saltgrass.

    This is feedback link.

    BTW, I attached files in feedback but they don't show after I submit? Maybe feedback itself also has  bugs :D

    Thank you. It appears that Windows RE has an issue.

    In the CMD Window, when you type in reagentc /info what is the output?

    Also, please file a feedback in the Hub and share the link of the same with me. I would ask MS people if they can give some insight.
