EDIT: I have fixed the problem. After trying actually everything else, I tried using the Windows Media Creation Tool. After downloading and installing the update from there, it took extra long for an update but sure enough it actually worked. All I can say is, man they need better error codes. That code can mean so many different things. Super glad it worked because I was dreading the seemingly inevitable windows re-installation. I'll leave the original post up for posterity.
PCR I need your help man, It always cannot complete updates and I keep getting 0x800f0922 and have done all the steps people say to do.
I have all the .NET Framework stuff installed
I have tried disabling all the firewalls and antiviruses
I have even gone in and deleted some boot fonts as per: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/-we-couldn-t-update-system-reserved-partition-error-installing-windows-10-46865f3f-37bb-4c51-c69f-07271b6672ac
I'm including my partitions for my boot drive and the disk list. The only thing I can possibly think of is maybe the fact that my boot drive isn't disk 0 might matter, but I'm not sure.
I read that manually increasing the size of the system reserved partition may fix it, but I'd have to download some third-party stuff for that and I'm not a fan of that. Neither am I a fan of reinstalling Windows, as sure as I am that would fix it.
Not sure if it would help but this all happened after a hard crash of my entire computer while playing a game (Separate GPU related issue I believe I have fixed). After this crash, this problem occurred since it wanted to try to update while the computer was booting. It always fails, and after that moment, I had an issue where the computer wouldn't Shut Down, it would only restart and go back to the lock screen. I have fixed that by turning off "Fast Startup" in the advanced power settings. I have done some other things too like trying to reinstall windows update, manually skipping an update, and clearing some temp files.
I hope you can help me.
