When someone sends me an email with a link I get an error message that my browser is out of date. So I cannot access the links. MSN Premium is still using Explorer and my new computer is using Windows 10 with Edge. Is MSN going to be updated to use Edge?

    <Original content. Not quoted>

I dunno about that, but you can put the MSN home page on Edge and access the news articles

without any freezing. Just set it for www.msn.com in the Edge settings.

I'm currently using the Win10 mail app, but I don't

really like the layout. I prefer the mail app in MSN much better.

I'm not a coder. I have no idea how much work it will take to replace IE with Edge in MSN.

Like I said earlier, they are working on it, but they're having difficulty. They said that they

will have it up as soon as they work out the bugs. That was in May.  :D

That's my question. This issue has been reported to Microsoft many months ago. Still no update.

Must be low on their prioity list.

If you find out please post.

Disagree with one thing. Not reported many months ago, problems reported many years ago.

    Agree

It is now Sept. 3rd and MSN's update to Edge has still not happened.

I am on a yearly payment plan for over 20 years and when I tried to renew and pay for the next year ($59.99)

I had to do it by phone because the online renewal page isn't working.

At that time, I asked if Edge will ever replace IE as MSN's internet engine

and they told me that they are working on it and that there are still a few bugs to work out.

Since I have paid a year in advance, all I can do is wait. I hope it's not much longer.

Accessing mail and especially the news articles on the home page is difficult because

the client often freezes and/or crashes.

I think what they are trying to do is "shoehorn" Edge into the existing MSN client.

I'm sure that 20 + years ago when MSN Premium was first created, they started with IE

and built MSN to work with that.

Maybe It would be better to start with Edge and then re-build MSN to work with Edge.

Sometimes it is better to "throw out the baby with the bathwater" and start over from scratch.

I'm sure it is more work to do it that way and that is probably what they are trying to avoid, but

in the mean time, we the customers are shelling out our hard earned money for an antiquated system.

Will someone from Microsoft please respond. There are at least three

or four threads on this topic dating back to at least December with no definitive answers.

    Thank you,

    Ray
