have problem with market books with bitdefender and Microsoft.

Is it a false positive if the certificate has actually expired?  I don't think so.  It might not be a malicious connection, but it DOES have an expired certificate, which is exactly what Bitdefender says.

No, since it's the Microsoft Windows Store or Microsoft Edge attempting to communicate with the unsafe, unsupported Microsoft site, Microsoft should fix Microsoft's annoying, huge problem.  See the key there?  Microsoft.  Bitdefender is not in charge of Microsoft's apps or expired certs lol.

Just because edge is attempting to access the url doesn't mean that edge is initiating the command. It may be that a third party app is attempting to access the app and because edge is your default browser, then that's what it uses. It's bitdefenders job to recognise a dead link and suppress warnings from it. MS can't be expected to keep a cert updated to a dead site

How many times do I, and others, have to say WE DON'T USE MICROSOFT SERVICES AND IT IS STILL SOMEHOW COMING UP THAT OUR COMPUTERS ARE TRYING TO ACCESS A MICROSOFT SITE?  I have NEVER used any web browsers on two of my servers, yes, I said SERVERS, but yet I'm getting warnings from bitdefender that a MICROSOFT SERVICE is trying to access something on the web.

Microsoft doesn't care... they are invading our private machines regardless of privacy acts.  This just proves it.  In NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM have I EVER accessed a microsoft service, or edge browser on a server.  Think people, THINK!

You who are unsure about this issue, be smart and safe regardless of what a couple people say.  This IS a microsoft issue that needs to be resolved, but will they do it?  Probably not since it's expired and no longer exists.  It's just something we may have to live with considering we use windows machines unfortunately.

After four or five months of this certificate nonsense and false /positive explanations, here is my take.

Bitdefender is doing its job very well while after all this time, Microsoft is failing miserably. Sure, a short time to fix is okay, but.

In this crazy world of malware, to suggest people should simply exempt certificates is unacceptable after a reasonable amount of time. Some users take their PC security seriously.

I have tried to disable this feature but no success so I am using alternative browsers much, much more.
