I noticed upon checking my Event Log Applications and my Reliability Monitor I have been getting this critical error about every 2 to 3 days now on my HP Omen i7 -16 GB Mem - Nvidia GEForce GTX 1070 on Win10 Home 64 bit and this did not start happening until I updated to v1903 on May 30^th^ . My build is 18362.239. Could someone please advise me as how to resolve this or MS deploy a fix for this. It appears I am not the only one getting these. I have reported this through the Feedback Hub. I have run all three DISMs, SFC, Malwarebytes, Norton and I turned on Windows Defender long enough for a quick scan and no problems seen. It appears this is a scheduled task that keeps failing instead of running to completion.

I was wondering if you have fast start up turned on as this will cause errors at times if it is turned on. I know it is a shot in the dark but just maybe.
Funnily enough, I turned it off on that computer the day before yesterday because of battery concerns. Perhaps I'll turn it on again :).

...my wife's computer goes into Hibernation when we close the lid and, today, each and every time it came out of that state, it recorded a Host error.
I just sat there, put it into Hibernation, woke it up and - zap! - there was another error.
Why it didn't do this before today, I have no idea. What prompted it to do it today, I have no idea. Cos nothing changed that I could see.
Mine is still free from Host errors to date but I don't think I'll have resolved the issue :). This seems to be a much bigger problem than I thought it would be.
Where are Microsoft when you need them :) ?

yes I use a screensaver. Can't be entirely sure but it could have kicked in around that time.
A couple of other things I've found out.
I ran Process Explorer which I picked up from the Microsoft site. It lists all the processes that are currently running under Windows 10.
It was interesting cos unbcl.dll isn't being used in the normal running of the laptop. I also checked it after I'd got the Host error this morning and it still wasn't running. So it looks like it's accessed only on a limited and intermittent basis.
If it is a screensaver problem (and we've been so many possible solutions that haven't worked that I doubt everything) then some of the people who have thought that they've found a solution might only be awaiting a crash when a screensaver kicks in (although I don't think it faults every time it kicks in!).
If a line of Code has changed that makes C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper in need of a system.ini file that Administrator permission is needed for, it could be a few processes that would trigger it.
I'm still baffled.
