2 days ago i upgraded my windows 10 to build 1903 , since then ,

randomly and during any activity (gaming , watching a video ..etc) ,

screen with the word "locking" in the middle appears for half a second and my laptop goes into sleep mode

and then i have to turn it on again

this never happened before the update , i tried to reset and fresh start but, nothing worked , and now i can't get back to previous build

what do i do ?

HELP , PLEASE

SOLUTION

Hey guys

So, I solved the issue (for me, at least) a long time ago but forgot to report back. My apologies

Basically,

Settings -> power and sleep -> additional power settings -> change advanced power settings -> battery

Then, change critical battery action and low battery action to do nothing both on battery and plugged in

I don't know if others already solved the problem In a different way, but i Hope that helps

Have a good day

Try removing the battery to see if anything is different.  It should not matter to whether it Locks or not. You can also use the actual charger for that make and model laptop as it may be more specific than the one you're using.  These need to be exact, and buying a knock-off rarely works out well.

Try these other fixes for screen locking:

Stop computer from locking Windows 10 automatically

I have exact problem as original post. So far I have uninstalled the feature update. Waiting to see what happens now.

Happy to say that there's been no further occurrence of the issue after I took action of disabling as many Power Options that I could.

I had LOCKING problem as described very early in this discussion, and noticed the post that advised removing the battery. By this time I was very frustrated as the machine would only stay up a few seconds at a time so getting to any diagnostics was almost impossible.  Even getting to safe mode took many restarts.  Anyway, I removed the battery and that seems to have solved my issue.  Many thanks to all that posted and I hope something works for you all, as it did for me.
