I've tried wsreset.exe- no success

I've tried https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027498/microsoft-store-fix-problems-with-apps - no success

I've tried to reset my region, language, and speech - no success

I've deleted the contents of the download directory and the datastore directory in c:\windows\softwaredistribution - no success

Before you go through all of the Ultra-Geeky hassle (and possibly dangerous) methods above, try checking your Internet Security settings as outlined below:

Possible Fix:

Search for "Internet Options"

Open the App

Select the "Advanced" Tab

Scroll to the Bottom of the List where you can see "Use SSL/TLS"

UN-Select SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0 and 1.1

SELECT TLS 1.2 and (If Available) TLS 1.3

Click "Apply"

Click "OK"

Reboot Computer

YMMV

Good Luck!

I know there are over 50 pages of comments, I tried for well over a year to get Microsoft Store to work on one of five PC's I have at home.  I just could not figure out what was different about this trouble PC that was not wrong with others.

You might want to go back and make sure you did all the changes listed.  It has resolved many of the issues, but not all.  A theory I have is that a "Turbo Speed Boosting" freeware program I installed stopped all the needed Windows Services to speed up boot-up and free-up memory.  I was also working on not being able to access a Network Hard Drive of my own that was altered with this crappy freeware.

Try these if you have not done them already:

Ensure the following Windows "Services" are running and set to Automatic.

Please follow the steps outlined below this list for instructions on how to make changes if needed.  Type "Services" (no quotations) in the Desktop Lower Left Search Bar.  You will see many Windows Services come up.  Click on all those listed below and set them to Automatic.  Double check your work.

    ·        Computer Browser

    ·        DHCP Client

    ·        DNS Client

    ·        Network Location Awareness

    ·        Function Discovery Resource Publication

    ·        Plug and Play

    ·        SSDP Discovery

    ·        Storage Server

    ·        Server

    ·        UPnP Device Host

    ·        TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper

    ·        Workstation

    ·        Save and Restart

BELOW IS LISTED ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT CHANGES:

So after many tries I've found a solution that worked for me and I hope will work for you too (and for everyone will read this post).

In my case the problem was caused by TLS certificates. I solved in this way:

1 - click on STARTand type "Internet Options"

2 - click on it and when a new windows will pop-up click on ADVANCED

3 - scroll down till the end

    4 - Unflag"Use SSL 3.0",  "Use TLS 1.0", "Use TLS 1.1"

    5 - Flag"Use TLS 1.2", "Use TLS 1.3 (experimental)"

6 - click on APPLYand then close the window

    7 - Restart

The following is a change I could not make due to my Service Provider, but it looks like it helped some people, I have made and used these settings before, and they are common settings

    • and safe.  You can plug these into your browser first if you wish:

I followed the advice from a user named Steve and it worked for me when everything else failed.

    • Type "Ethernet settings" in the search bar.
    • Then select "Change adapter options" under Related setting.
    • Right click on whichever network you are currently connected to then select "properties". A window will pop up.
    • Under the "Networking" tab of that window, select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / Pv4) and select properties. Another window will pop up.
    • In the bottom half of this window, select "Use the following DNS server addresses".
    • Insert 8 . 8 . 8 . 8 in the Preferred DNS section (this is Google) and 8 . 8 . 4 . 4 in the Alternate section (this is Google too). Then select Ok and close all the windows.

You can try to Launch Microsoft Store if you wish now.

    Restart your machine

Try again to Launch Microsoft Store and see if it works.

This is an unknown - I don't know what Cyberghost is:

If the above method was unsuccessful, another method you can try is using a VPN program like Cyberghost. That also worked for me. Hope this helps.
