KB4493509 fails to install

Hello everyone,

this is the first update since upgrade to 1809 that fails to install. I tried everything. Manual downloading, but even manual installing at the end just shows message, that the update couldn't be installed, without any errors. At Windows Update, it's shown an error 0x800f0982. I've done sfc /scannow, no corrupted files. I've done Restorehealth etc, and the error is still there. This is the first time that has happened to me. So should I wait for next update? Or what to do?

    yea, I really didn't do that. All my updates are installed on SSD disc - on C: disc. On HDD are specially movies and games. I never changed the path of installation. 

    What is your PC model? Even my Acer Predator Helios 300 has an SSD and an HDD. And the update installed successfully through manual installation though. I don't rely on Windows Update anymore for these big updates of >100MB in size.

    If the computer came like that, you are right. They wouldn't do it. But, if you installed the SSD after cloning the HDD to it & then left the HDD also plugged in - that would be bad. Two separate Windows installations plugged in at once is dangerous. But sounds like you never did that. OK, then.

    I have only one SSD disc and one HDD disc, so I doubt it that that it's a problem.

    hey, 

    yeah I already checked for that update, and I have it installed. Maybe I will try reinstalling that, I don't know yet.
