You Phone/Companion Connection-Link

hi I want to connect my android device to my hp windows 10 pro using the "You Phone' and " Phone Companion" but there is is know connection even though they are both connected to a WIFI hotspot from another device. My android is stuck in a loop saying " We're checking one more thing on your PC before we ask for a final permission, while my PC stuck on" We need permission to connect and access data onyour phone. Please check your phone and tap allow."

    Thanks Buzybee789, grateful for these instructions - I'm now connected!

    FYI, I was on wifi - I wasn't attempting this over mobile network. 

    MS: To help others, it would be useful if there was more info/control from within the app

    BB: appreciate my "get out of jail" assistance.

    Yes I did that also...I put my phone on the wifi to get on the house internet in order to set it up.

    Once it was setup, I do not have to have my phone on the wifi any longer because I did this in the Phone App (can't do til it lets you set it up):

    Go into: (as long as you have unlimited data on your mobile phone plan)

    Settings

    Sync over mobile data

    turn that to ON

    then back out.

    Ahhhhh - I give up Have done everything on the net that I could find all the solutions given and I still don't get that final notification to allow.  It was all working great a couple of days ago and then the icon on the top of the phone disappeared and it stopped.  There was a windows update a few days ago and have a feeling something there has fubar'd it

    It's a Note 10+ which is supposed to work seamlessly, the only thing I haven't done is a total reset of the phone and want to avoid that.

    Don't know who to be pissed off at, Samsung or Microsoft!

    I have been having the same issue since the "Your Phone Companion" was updated last week in the Galaxy Store. The new update released today did not help.
