Audio problem on Logitech Z Cinema after October Update

Hi,

After installing October Update on Windows 10 volume control is not working (using Logitech Z Cinema speakers through USB).

Driver update, restart explorer, restart Windows Audio service didn't help.

Any suggestion ?

    I honestly couldn't believe it would work but it really did. Well kind of. I can control the volume like before but I still can't turn on/off via the remote and activate srs surround.

    Edit: Now that I used the speakers through aux for some time I can say for sure that the max volume is much higher via usb. Also bass and treble levels can be controlled via the taskbar Z-Cinema app but like I said before, no power on/off or srs control.

    I somehow missed the reply about connecting to the auxiliary input, but I tried using this input and the headphone output on my computer. You need the remote to switch to the aux input, and I can't find my remote. So that doesn't work for me. If somebody knows how to switch to aux without the remote, let me know.

    I also have these speakers connected to a Windows 8.1 computer and they still work fine except a few months ago I started getting an error every time the computer would go to sleep. "Debug Assertion Failed!" that pointed to the file dbgheap.c line 1279 which is a stack overflow on Visual C++ or so I understand. I don't know if a Windows 8.1 update changed something that is now giving this error and if this is not part of the problem we have with Windows 10 1809.

    When I've contacted Logitech in the past, they have not been very helpful so I doubt if there will ever be a solution to our problem.

    Not at all!

    Via the aux port you can control the sound level all the way up & down (only through windows sound volume icon), that's correct, but I still can't use the remote to power on/off, activate srs or control the volume, those are only possible through usb connection.

    Thanks for your reply-useful extra info on this problem.

    Does your reply mean that you have full functionality back again by using the aux port, i.e. you can vary the sound level all the way up & down max to min & hear all these different sound levels via the aux port, which presumably you cannot via a normal USB connection?

    If so, then this may narrow down the problem for MS/Logitech to resolve meaning the problem would then be more specifically how the USB ports work/don't work with W10 V 1809!...
