Files not synced - OneDrive

I am having an issue with my OneDrive synch client (they newest version) that says all files are synched, yet in the documents folder the icons do not match (and appear that the documents are not synched).  I spent 30 plus hour on the phone with Office 365 (who made matters worse at first) but then we've been able to determine with a second windows profile created (i.e. what you login windows with) that this does not occur.  They told me to contact the windows team to have them investigate my profile on the back end (i.e. their servers) as my account might have issues.  I then contacted the windows team (and asked for a supervisor) and this person (even after looking at the exact email from the Office 365 team stating my windows ID likely was corrupted) refused to help except to just delete the ID entirely.  Given this windows login ID is tied to a bunch of documents, etc. on this computer, it seems like there has to be another option.  Or how do I copy everything over to the new ID?

***Modified the title Issue with Windows Login ID - according to Office 365 Windows team needs to fix (they say nothing they can do)***

Yes, my suggestion is also to select "Free up Space" on those syncing folders.  But then just wait a few seconds and select "Always keep on this device" again.  Then if you have a lot of files they won't have to download all over again.

Check the properties on those folders.  Are the properties on the problem folders different than the properties on the folders that are syncing correctly?

Share the folders with Administrators, yourself, and Homegroup if that's still an option available.

Also go to the Security tab > Advanced > Permissions and Enable Inheritance.

I'm trying to figure this out but really need an expert on Permissions and Inheritance:

On mine I have permission entries with Allow and Full Control and a button that says "Disable Inheritance" which means Inheritance is Enabled for me.  It seems to me that you probably want files and folders to inherit permissions from parent folders.

Not sure these suggestions will do anything to help your situation.

I guess it will take a smart Microsoft rep to do as you say. Good luck with that. But...

    How about...?...

    (1) Right-click the folder, & select "Properties".

How many bytes does it have? Same number as in the test profile?

(I guess you have to sign in & out of each profile to get a proper reading.)

    (2)

    (a) Right-click the folder, & select "Free up space".

Now the files are online only (until accessed). What happened to the Status icon?

    (b) Right-click the folder, & select "Always keep on this device".

Now they download again. Is the icon any better?

    (3) Click the OneDrive icon in the Tray.

Does it look like there is ongoing activity...?...
