It is pretty surprising that Microsoft apparently has yet to fix the update problem. I guessed the May update might have taken care of it. Maybe the June update?????

My May 1803 update cleared my WU issue.

Ok, I'm getting incredibly frustrated by this godforsaken update. It refuses to install and I have no way of instructing my PC to stop restarting! I'll be in the middle of working on a project and have my entire system shut down on me.

This has been going on for far too long. MICROSOFT, you need to take responsibility and provide a fix for this issue. It's not just my computer in my household that is affected either. My husband's is doing the same thing!

This careless attitude of yours is why people are switching to Apple!

My May 1803 update cleared out my WU issues.

Thanks so much (Ro)Gohran!!  Followed your instructions and Windows only had to do 5 more updates to get it right.  Several restarts, but, it got it Right!!  Totally up-to-date 5-2018.  Thanks again.
