Your PIN is no longer available

I have the same problem.  There is no option to login with a password.  It seems this is a Windows S feature that removes password login with you use Windows Hello (PIN and/or facial recognition).  I have no way to login to the computer. Facial recognition says I need to use PIN.  PIN doesn't work with error stated above.

Same here, ended up having to hold down Shift key as I clicked Restart from the power icon in corner of log in screen.  Then selected Reset PC/keep personal files.  

Well see whenever I try to reset my PC it asks for my BitLocker Key number and since it wants me to login to my college’s account I have to contact an administrator or something and I have no idea who I would even attempt to talk to about that. I’m at a loss of what I have to do.

Delete NGC folder and add a new PIN code

Go to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC.

In NGC folder delete all the files. To do so you must be logged as Administrator.

delete the temp folder within the NGC folder 

I had some issues accessing/deleting content from the NGC folder: it has no owner and cannot be accessed by the administrator account either. I didn't really want to change the ownership of the folder as I wasn't sure of potential repercussions for doing so, so I found a different method instead:

An alternative, and probably better way to delete your pin (requires being logged in to the account, however):

1. Press Windows + I to access the settings
2. Go Accounts > Sign-In Options
3. Under PIN, click the blue text "I forgot my PIN" (it can take a while to load)
4. Follow the steps through logging into your account
5. When the dialogue box opens to enter a new PIN, instead click "Cancel"
6. Confirm you wish to set up a pin later

From here you can go back to the Sign-In Options and add a PIN.... this seemed to enable the sign-in option for me, anyway.

Edit: Just for clarity, my exact problem was that I could sign in with facial recognition and password, however the PIN was disabled for some reason: changing the pin in the settings didn't work, but the above method did.

I fixed this issue by simply removing the pin and then setting up a new one

No matter how many tricky ways you show us to "get in" to our Windows 10 . . . THEY ALL REQUIRE A WORKING PASSWORD.

ALAS . . . OUR PASSWORDS NO LONGER WORK!

Excuse the shouting, but can anyone provide a solution THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE A PASSWORD or some solution besides wiping our hard-drives . . . which even that may require a password . . .
