I bought my PC years ago with only a HDD. I added a SSD myself afterwards. When I booted my PC after a hard shutdown/electricity fallout I had only my HDD in BIOS. I then boot from HDD, get an error and let the PC reboot. After a few times the SSD would be recognized in BIOS and I could change the SSD to default.
I got tired of this proccess a few days ago and found a tip to disable the hdd-partition with diskpart. The first time I had a hardreset again (mouse and keyboard froze and pc didn't shutdown with a single press on startbutton), I couldn't do the HDD boot-trick and tried changing the cables from hdd to ssd (ssd in sata1). This didn't help. In diskpart I made the SSD partition active. I now can see the SSD in BIOS, but booting gives an error "An operating system wasn't found.". When I retry diskpart, the partition could be made active again. It seems like this resets..
Bootrec.exe /FixMbr was successful
Bootrec.exe /FixBoot gives no access error (there could be some parts left of a dual boot setup)
chkdsk gives no problems found

I'm surprised Gparted will make anything Active on a UEFI machine with a GPT drive... That is not supposed to be possible...
GPT drives no not use "Active" for the Boot Device... UEFI machines boot from the Windows Boot Manager that is located on a 150MB or so, Fat32 partition...
Only the older Legacy Bios uses "Active" partitions for the boot device...
Regardless... Your Boot Device would be the EFI partition... Not the entire SSD..
Do you have a EFI partition on both drives , or just possibly the HDD ?
I think you need to select "UEFI USB Key" if there is such a thing...
Not in your Bios, but the Boot Options menu I mentioned... This is separate from the actual Bios and usually displays more "One Time" Boot Options...
I can't find any pictures of what Gparted flags look like as far as "Active" or "Boot Device"...
I'm just about positive the errors you are getting with the BootRec stuff is because of how you are booting with the flash drive... I recently had a similar problem...
BTW... What Windows Build is on the Flash Drive... Build 16299 has issues with some of it's repair functions

If your HDD was hooked up when you installed Windows to the SSD, there were probably boot files saved to the HDD for the SSD..
If this is the case, making the OS partition on the HDD "Not Active" or "Hiding" it can cause a boot failure when trying to boot from the SSD...
It may have also created a Dual Boot setup that can be hard to fix... Not counting the fact that the SSD may have been damaged by the power failure...
If the SSD is not appearing in Bios, that indicates some type of damage either to the SSD or the motherboard...
There are two areas in the Bios where you should see the SSD... The area where you select the Boot Device, and another area where you select which HDD\SSD will be on the list for Boot Device.... You might check that one...
The SSD needs to Be "Active" to be bootable..
There is another area where your SATA controller\ports are listed, along with info concerning which drives are attached... If the SSD is not listed there, you have a problem..
I can only suggest that you unhook the HDD temporarily, and then try your Startup\Boot Repair again...
Are you running DiskPart and the Boot Repair commands from bootable Win 10 installation media ? If not that would be best..
How you make the media can be important as well... If you should create installation media for a machine with UEFI Bios, it may generate errors when using it on a machine using the older Legacy Bios...
The commands you are using for "Active", "Not Active" only work on a machine that boots while using Legacy Bios...
The Boot Commands I use are...
BOOTREC /FIXMBR
BOOTREC /FIXBOOT
BOOTREC /REBUILDBCD
You might try both the Startup Repair and Boot Commands... Try the Startup Repair, and if it fails, then go to the Command Prompt and try the BootRec stuff.. If that fails, try the Startup Repair again.. It might take several tries... if it will even work...
BTW... What OS is on the HDD ?

Reading through your post, and it says your PC came with an HDD, and therefore the OS was installed on that drive. When you added the SSD, did you just use it for storage, or did you install the Win 10 OS on it as well?
