As of recent, when connecting any pair of bluetooth headphones or devices, I would get stuttering problems where when using bluetooth headphones, the audio would frequently cut in and out randomly, and it would frequently disconnect, even when it was fully charged. And yes, I've tried to fix the issue by disabling audio enhancements, but it hasn't helped at all. Additionally, I've had problems with other bluetooth devices where they would also frequently disconnect. Is there a fix to these problems?

I have had this problem for about a month now, I'm using the Bose QC35's and the music barely plays because it studders so badly! I am really getting tired of this issue and Microsoft not being able to fix it. I guess this is why everyone that i know uses a Mac and not Windows and their trash operating platform.
Hey folks, this seems to be a good place to post a solution for this to a large group of people. Some information on my setup:
So I tried pretty much every solution listed here including the Hands Free Telephony disabling, uninstalling the sound adapter to have windows reinstall, eliminate all enhancements, update all drivers via Device Manager. None of them worked. However, I saw a tip on another forum that suggested uninstalling the network adapter that hosts the BT functionality and having Windows re-discover it and install the newest driver.
Rather than doing that, I figured I would Google the full name of my Realtek adapter and see what comes back. After doing so, I found a link (the 2nd link on front page of Google search results, actually) to driverpack.com and from there, I selected the appropriate driver and let my system do its thing. Admittedly, I was nervous that this application was going to change too many things, but fortunately it automatically creates a restore point and will scan and update all drivers along the way. Note: You will have to decline installation of additional software and pay attention to the suggested changes it proposes.
The whole process took about 10 minutes and after it was complete, my headphones now work perfectly on my Windows 10 system. Based on this, it seems that either my WiFi/BT network adapter driver needed to be updated, or there was a combination of updates required that fixed this. Regardless, it discovered 23 potential driver updates and it fixed my stuttering audio problem.

I have sony wh 900n stereo headphones. Got stuttering when watching amazon movie. My acer laptop connected to 5ghz wireless. I reconnected wifi to 2.4 ghz and resumed movie. Stuttering was gone.
I suspect some versions of Bluetooth don't get along with higher frequency wifi.
Having the exact same issue with the audio stuttering and cutting out. I assume its an issue with the integrated bluetooth chip on my Intel Wireless-AC 9560 that came preinstalled on my gigabyte motherboard. I updated drivers, tried disabling services, uninstalling/reinstalling, etc. I went out and bought a cheap Insignia 4.0 bluetooth USB dongle, and (this is key...) after uninstalling the Intel Bluetooth Adapter device from the Device Manager, plugged the little sucker in and zero issues. There is a serious problems with this Intel adapter and its drivers on Windows 10, please have someone look into this.
Only turning off my bluetooth mouse works.
I have virtually the same setup and have the stuttering with both the built-in and the USB 4.0 dongle and even tried a usb extension cable. Old drivers, new drivers, nothing has helped.
I will say the USB dongle works better for headphone range and drops connections less, so I'm sticking with it, despite the annoyance of a little flashing dongle using up one of my few usb ports.
I'll be trying a new BT mouse soon to see if it's this particular model or just BT mice, in general.
Based on another commenter's post, I went and purchased an Insignia USB Bluetooth Adapter Dongle and plugged it into one of my USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports, and almost all pops, stutters and garbles are completely gone... in 5 minutes of listening I've had 1 or 2 split-second drop outs, which I'm willing to live with if it means I dont' have to be tethered to my PC via a stupid cable...
Note: In order to install the dongle as the sole Bluetooth adapter, you have to disable (not un-install) the embedded / on-board version via the Device Manager...
