Stop asking me to create a PIN!

please o please tell me how i can stop Windows 10 from asking me to create a PIN to login with.....I DO NOT WANT TO CREATE ONE! no matter what I do it forces me to create one. 

I understand it might be more secure etc etc but I DO NOT WANT TO CREATE ONE!

I am more than happy to enter in my normal password to access my profile I DO NOT WANT A PIN

Please assist me in stopping this annoyance. Its my computer and I will have it work the way I want it to.

    Hey Darren. Sorry this is a frustrating problem but there may be a solution for you.

    Press your windows key + X > Type netplwiz in the run prompt > uncheck user needs to use password for the account.

    You can also go to settings - account - sign-in options > choose sign in with local account, and you will have to enter a pin ONE time > leave new password and confirmation empty > log out and back in > should be fixed and you wont have to enter anything.

    If none of this works you may try to use windows key + X > netplwiz when it asks for a username and password, enter the full email address of your Microsoft account and the password > you'll never have to enter a PIN again.

    I was having this problem on my laptop, and then I noticed when I logged in that under the box for the password there were now two icons:  the one on the left representing a PIN (it looks like a ten-key), and the one on the right representing a password (it looks something like a password box).  I had inadvertently selected the left box, and so every time I started, it wanted me to create a pin because that's what I was indicating I wanted.  Make sure on your sign-in page (on startup) that the icon for password (under the password box) is selected.  That worked for me.

    Finally!!!

    It's been driving me bananas.

    Hmmm for whatever reason I am still getting the prompts after removing the PIN and then following these instructions...

    Thanks, 15 minutes using Windows for the first time in 16 years and I was already about to bin it because of this one absurd login requirement.  "Do you want to use a PIN?" and the only option is "Create PIN".  !#$!#$

    Using a pin also prevents you from connecting to other computers on your network.  Remove the pin and it works OK with a password -- BUT, then you have the nag problem.  The Group Editor fix is OK for Windows Professional but what do I do about Windows Home?
