Windows 10 restarting at random times

These instructions for the small dump creation are not for manual creation, correct? It appears that the dump will be created the next time a reboot happens. Is that correct? I ask because, I followed the instructions and a dump file was not created. Plus, your instruction reference Windows 7 and I am running Windows 10

He is also a Microsoft employee and is also interested in having this issue resolved soonest. Our goal may be the same but our methods are different. You can try either of the steps as the goal is just to get a .dmp file from your computer. That being said, please revisit the steps I have provided on this thread and see if you will be more comfortable with it.

I have received a message from "Hello, my name is Kenny Roberts with the Microsoft Support team.". He provided some information on saving a dump file using UCSLogTool.  Quite different from your instructions.

Are both of you working together?

To add clarity to the instructions on getting the .dmp files from your computer, you can refer to these steps:

1. Click on Start and type System on the Search bar, then hit Enter.
2. Click Advanced system settings.
3. Click Advanced tab and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
4. In the Write debugging information list, click Small memory dump (64k).

You may change the folder location for your computer's small memory dump files by typing in a new path in the Dump File box (or in the Small dump directory box, depending on your version of Windows).
