Error Code: 0x80072f76 0x20017. Windows media creation tool.

I've disabled the defender and other software for malware and virus protection and tried moving the executable to desktop and then launching it. I don't have an idea whats wrong with it! Any help is much appreciated.

I was able to solve it on a 2016 Lenovo laptop by disabling antivirus until next reboot and pointing my DNSs to Google Ones.

Hope this helps someone else as well.

    OK, I now have the media creation tool running perfectly again.

    I'm not sure if the fix will work for all but I would like some feedback.

    I downloaded Macrium Reflect (Free Version - Home) 

    https://www.macrium.com/reflectfree

    I then created a rescue USB, booted form the rescue USB then restored/repaired the Windows boot system (Restore non-booting systems).

    After that all good. Media Creation tool works perfectly!!!!

    If a few of you can confirm this is repeatable this would help everyone with the issue.

    Please have a go and feedback your results.

    It takes less than 5min so worth the investment in time.

    Use firefox (or chrome if you must) , look for a "mobile emulator" add on, install and use it to fool MS site you are visiting from a mobile device, get a direct link to the iso.

    This was answered before, the MCT cannot run on your PC you may need to use windows update to update your PC.
